Houston Middle Student Wins Statewide Bookmark Contest for the Second Year in a Row

Houston Middle School is excited to celebrate Caroline Anderson! For the second year in a row, she has won the Tennessee Association of Librarians bookmark contest. The contest invites students to spend their extra library time or their free time creating a design for a new bookmark to represent the school year. Her design was competing against physical and digital art, and it had to showcase the concepts Explore, Learn, and Read. The Houston Middle School Librarian representative for Caroline’s work was Emily Squires. Caroline’s incredible design will be printed on 250 bookmarks, and she was also awarded a cash prize and a certificate of achievement. Caroline has been awarded first place in the Middle School Division (Grades 6-8) both years. Congratulations Caroline!
