Audition Center

The $150 fee covers costumes, props, sets, tech equipment, production stipends, and a cast/crew t-shirt.

Students will need jazz shoes and basic costume pieces (like black pants or a base layer). These usually cost about $25 each, or may already be in their closet.

Yes. If the fee is a challenge, please talk to Mr. Timmerman at the parent meeting. Scholarships are available so every student can participate.

We rely on local business sponsorships and family connections to support the program. If you know a business interested in sponsoring, please reach out to our parent treasurer.

Rehearsals are held after school at HMS on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (3:15–5:15 PM). Some Saturdays will also be used for choreography and work days.

Not every student is called to every rehearsal. The weekly schedule is posted on the Band App and may change as needed.

All known conflicts should be listed on the audition form. Starting February 10th, all rehearsals are mandatory for all students.

If your student is sick or there’s a family emergency, please email Mr. Timmerman as soon as possible with the reason.

Yes. Crew members learn alongside the cast so they understand the show. Lighting, sound, and front-of-house crew may not be needed early on but will attend more often closer to performances.

Theatre builds more than performance skills — students learn teamwork, confidence, communication, and responsibility.

That’s okay! Ensemble roles are perfect for beginners to build confidence and friendships while still being part of the show.

Yes. Returning students can serve as dance captains, song captains, or stage managers, helping mentor newer cast members.
